New MODX Issues Now at GitHub

MODX is Moving to GitHub

We recently posted that we are moving all issue tracking for MODX to GitHub. We have officially opened issues for all new issues for MODX Revolution, Evolution and MODX-managed Extras at GitHub. This means if you need to report a bug or a new issue it should be in the appropriate issues page for the project.

We are still planning the migration of the old issues and will post when that has been completed. We’re very happy about the postitive reaction about moving to GitHub and look forward to completing the process.

Jay heads up Customer Development and Delight at MODX. He started with MODX while running his small web development and marketing company and has a background in Marketing and Management. He lives with his wife Tracy and daughter Georgia in a small riverside town on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

I guess I can understand why you'd want to use Github, but I find it confusing. In the old tracker, it's easy to see at a glance which issues have been assigned to which upcoming version of MODX, and there are queries on the right set up to display various subsets of issues. There is also the roadmap. Is there some way to see this information in Github? Or is the roadmap at tracker.modx still going to be used?

Thanks for asking. Once we migrate the issues from the Redmin-based Tracker, we'll be setting up milestones for each project as appropriate ( Each issue will be assigned to a milestone and you'll be able to see at a glance what the intended roadmap is in relation to open issues. For now, the current roadmap is as close we have to an up to date plan of actions. As always, we're open to suggestions.
