About Bob Ray
Bob Ray has been an active member of the MODX community since its earliest days around 2005, coming to it from a background in C++ programming. He took one look at MODX and never looked back.
He is the author of MODX: The Official Guide (first published 2011) and has built dozens of MODX Extras including QuickEmail, NewsPublisher, SiteCheck, GoRevo, Personalize, EZfaq, MyComponent, and more. A longtime advocate for developer experience within MODX, his motto is "developers are users too."
His website, Bob's Guides, has been a go-to resource for MODX tutorials and documentation for countless users over the years.
When he's not building Extras or writing documentation, Bob can be found wintering in Florida or spending summers in the Pacific Northwest—usually from his RV. He's a former ski racer, competitive windsurfer, and onetime lead guitarist in a punk rock band.
