About Mat Dave Jones
Mat Dave Jones is a project lead at MODX and a long-time contributor to the open-source CMS community. Based in Hastings, Nebraska, he came to MODX after more than six years as lead developer in the web department at IdeaBank Marketing, where he built a foundation in multimedia design, interactive development, and client-focused web solutions.
At MODX, Mat works across the core platform and has built more than 20 extras—tools that extend what developers can do with the CMS. He contributes to MODX Revolution and the Fred front-end editor, and his AutoSchema extra brings automated JSON-LD structured data generation to MODX sites.
Mat holds an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Arts from Central Community College, where he continues to serve on the advisory board. Outside of code, he plays folk and rock guitar, runs half-marathons, restores vintage electronics, and spends time with his two daughters and an unreasonable number of dogs.
