It has been some time since many of the most popular MODX add-ons, originally authored by splittingred, have been updated. Pull requests, bug reports and feature requests for these add-ons have been left without action for some time. It is unfortunate that such simple things took so long to be merged, for that, we apologize. We have forked the Extras into the modxcms repository on GitHub, and thanks to community contributions, there is a beta release for each, ready for you to test with the releases to follow soon after.
We’re looking for help from community members like you to help out. Here’s how:
Community leadership roles including development, art direction, project management, quality assurance, and documentation, are available for each of these add-ons. If you are interested in contributing please get in touch or submit a pull request on GitHub.
I will be leading the management of these extras, along with members of the MODX team. I have opened a forum thread to allow all interested members of the MODX community to discuss the direction of these well-used add-ons. Below you’ll find links for beta releases, a project homepage and public roadmap discussion for each add-on.
We look forward to working with you to make the web a better place to create.
