One of the most important pair of technologies to come to Front-end development in the last few years is Sass and Compass. But unless you are a bit if a server geek, or you buy a third-party tool, starting can be intimidating or a pain.
Today we make that a whole lot easier.
Starting now, if you want to use Sass in a MODX Cloud project, all you have to do is open a ticket from your Dashboard. Soon you’ll not only be able to install it yourself right from your dashboard, but you’ll be able to start Compass Watch for automatic Sass compiling like in the screenshot above. Cool, eh?
If you haven’t tried Sass, now you really don’t have an excuse. This makes it too easy! Here’s some helpful links to the tools we’ve released today to help you get started becoming one with Sass:
- Beginning with Sass: thesassway.com/beginner
- Bourbon explained: bourbon.io
- And it’s helpful grid companion: neat.bourbon.io
Don’t see your favorite Sass utilty helper? Let us know and we’ll see if we can make it part of the stack. Best of luck with your Sassified MODX Cloud project, and let us know how you like it. Enjoy!
If you haven’t checked it out yet, try MODX Cloud for free, today.
