MODX Revolution 3.2.1 Released

MODX Revolution 3.2.1 is now available. This is a focused patch release that resolves a collection of bugs and warnings discovered since 3.2.0, with a few housekeeping improvements to documentation and build tooling along the way.

  • Fixed an issue with Extras installation and updates (#16950)
  • Fixed quotes breaking grid JavaScript (#16831)
  • Fixed package metadata format (#16911)
  • Fixed PHP warning: undefined array key updateable (#16935)
  • Fixed PHP warning: undefined variable $image (#16933)
  • Fixed S3 file visibility check failure handling (#16940)
  • Restricted exif_read_data calls to JPEG and TIFF files only (#16903)
  • Registered Smarty date modifier to avoid PHP deprecation warning (#16842)
  • Improved PHP version error message in bootstrap (#16922)
  • Changed getVersionData() to use include instead of include_once (#16840)
  • Increased drag-and-drop image visibility in the Package Manager (#16899)
  • Updated welcome screen URL for 3.2 (#16913)
  • Clarified label and description for user_prevlogin lexicon entry (#16846)
  • Fixed grunt build for arm64 and added missing build asset from #16831 (#16949)
  • Updated README badges layout and added version badge (#16868)
  • Added SECURITY.md (#16939)
  • Added AI contribution policy and updated contributor governance files (#16944)

If you rely on MODX Revolution, we recommend upgrading to 3.2.1 as soon as practical.

How to Upgrade

As always, back up your site and test upgrades on staging before deploying to production. You can upgrade directly via the MODX Package Manager or download the latest release → Download MODX Revolution
